This is large for a trailer-sailer but it is still not a big boat. It also has a very modern hull, which means it is shallow. There are only two ways to gain headroom, by going up with the head or down with the feet.

More traditional boats can have greater headroom because their hulls are deeper, so the feet go lower. Modern hulls don't allow that, so a small boat with full standing headroom begins to look like an apartment block due to the slab-sided look topped off with a high cabin.

I took the Didi 28 as far along that route as I wanted to go. Some builders will add some more freeboard but it will affect the aestetics.Dudley Dixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10463988486568081821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574088453848301473.post-24937798889625943112010-08-23T16:36:52.611-04:002010-08-23T16:36:52.611-04:00a perfect boat, the only thing that I would like t...a perfect boat, the only thing that I would like this design has is standing 1.8m headroom, that's only 10cm more, com on Dudley work on in an find a way... somehow :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03898983445845726233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574088453848301473.post-6335992596558506782010-05-08T23:06:28.850-04:002010-05-08T23:06:28.850-04:00Hi Walter,

You could fill in the space between the single berths and the motor but it will be a wide single rather than a double.

The transom can be easily closed during building.

I don't know what you mean by "spoilers". If you mean a scoop stern, that is also easily done during building.Dudley Dixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10463988486568081821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574088453848301473.post-50252746719709488692010-05-08T13:38:01.028-04:002010-05-08T13:38:01.028-04:00Dear Dudley,
