The owners of the aluminium Dix 38 Pilot "Imagine" have enjoyed her for nearly 14 years but have now reached a stage in life when they can no longer do justice to her, to voyage with her as she is intended to do. They have decided to sell "Imagine" to someone who can take her on new adventures.
"Imagine" was built in Italy, with the structure by Aluwind and completion by Alto Adriatico Shipyard in Monfalcone. She was launched in the Adriatic Sea in 2010 and her cruising since then has been confined to the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean. She was built and equipped to EC requirements for ocean voyaging and is well-maintained.
She is a true pilothouse in design and build, with dual-station steering, engine controls and electronics, one of them in the cockpit and the other in the pilothouse. Cockpit steering is on a pedestal and the pilothouse has a bulkhead steerer in the navigation station. Also in the pilothouse are chart plotter, radar, VHF and the electrical panel.
On deck "Imagine" has a double-headsail sloop rig, with roller-furling Genoa, hanked staysail, mainsail and spinnaker. She has folding dodger and Bimini to shelter the cockpit.
"Imagine" is currently berthed in Trieste area. Asking price is 260,000 Euro. If interested in buying her, send me an email and I will connect you with the seller.
This is a well-proven design, with two steel versions having done high latitude cruises to the arctic regions. Go to the Dix 38 Pilot web page for more about the design. I will let her photos tell more about her.
